“There is no single right way to feed a family.”

About me

Expert support,
gently delivered.

I’m Sarah Strasberg, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) based in North London. I support families at home across N2, N3, N10, N12 and N20, as well as online throughout the UK.

My passion for infant feeding grew from my own experience. When I struggled to breastfeed my first baby, the support I received introduced me to a world that had been completely unknown to me—and to an area of parenthood that was often poorly supported.

After my second baby was born, I decided to begin my lactation career—first as a peer supporter, then as a breastfeeding counsellor and finally as an IBCLC.

Working closely with families has shown me that the early weeks of parenthood can feel both magical and overwhelming.

I believe feeding support should feel calm, clear and empowering—not confusing or judgemental.

As an IBCLC, I provide evidence-based, practical guidance tailored to your goals. Whether you are preparing to breastfeed, experiencing pain, concerned about milk supply, combination feeding, returning to work or considering weaning, I am here to help you feel confident and informed.

Every family is different. There is no “one right way”—only what works for you and your baby.

My approach is:

  • Compassionate
  • Non-judgemental
  • Evidence-based
  • Practical and realistic

When I visit your home or meet you online, my aim is to provide reassurance, clarity and a practical way forward.

You deserve feeding support that feels reassuring, practical and tailored to you.

A few common questions

It’s okay to have
lots of questions.

If yours is not here, you can always get in touch for a brief, no-pressure conversation.

When is the right time to ask for help?

Whenever feeding feels painful, worrying, confusing or simply different from what you expected. You do not need to wait until things feel urgent. Antenatal support is also available before your baby arrives.

What happens during a home visit?

We begin with your story and what you would like help with. With your consent, I can observe a feed, explore positioning and attachment, and work with you on a realistic plan that respects your circumstances and goals.

Do you only support exclusive breastfeeding?

No. Support is centred on you, your baby and your feeding goals. That may include breastfeeding, expressing, combination feeding or working through a change of plan without judgement.

Can my partner join the consultation?

Absolutely. Partners and other people supporting you are very welcome, and can be included in ways that make the plan easier to put into practice at home.
